Building libraries in the air!

Daily writing prompt
You get to build your perfect space for reading and writing. What’s it like?

In lieu of a blog more doggerel. Why am I so obsessed by internal rhyming these days. LOL!

Building libraries in the air!

Whilst others in their aerial castles
Dwell, built for a little dream of power
Over us, in sodden huts their vassals,
I care for a bud, to watch it flower
And shed its scent, whilst passing slow the time
Cascades of living thought their germens seal
Of feelings born in sentences that prime
Those solid values that with magic heal
My heart. Once when it could no longer fight
In trenches, where it glimpsed the stars' souls
Evade its sight, or feel the tepid light
Of the manufactory of black holes
Those stars become, my heart gave in.

         'Now sing',
A voice that sounded like new hope, now dug
Its gaze into a book: pages turn, a thing
I thought was sadness but was just a shrug
As off the darkness rolled, and in the sun
I felt the joy of life again. Such GOOD
is laid to rest in books, I will not run
Away again but let beat their heart's blood.
In the air I'll build structures paper-thin,
A library growing, I'll sit within.

Bye for now. With love again

STEVEN
